On 24 April, DECITEL was presented at the DeepTech Connect 2026 international conference, held in a hybrid format across several European universities.

The University of Ioannina showcased a post on the project’s main goals, highlighting the importance of civic education and the role of local learning systems in building knowledge, skills, and core values for active and meaningful participation in society.

Key discussions focused on the growing importance of digital citizenship. As more aspects of civic life move online, the need for critical thinking, mutual respect, and tolerance becomes essential. Ensuring safe and responsible participation in digital communities and democratic processes was also strongly emphasized.
