TPM in Berlin on March 11-13
From 11–13 March 2026, partners of the DECITEL Project gathered in Berlin for the Transnational Project Meeting to advance the development of democratic citizenship education and strengthen collaboration across Europe.
During the meeting, partners exchanged insights from their Local Learning Ecosystems, highlighting challenges such as fragmented national approaches, limited student participation, and difficulties addressing complex socio-political topics in classrooms. At the same time, promising developments were identified, including growing support for digital citizenship and stronger cooperation between schools, NGOs, and community actors.
Participants also worked on designing learning pathway prototypes for both pre-service and in-service teachers, focusing on key competences such as critical digital citizenship, inclusion and identity, democratic participation, and collaboration with families and local stakeholders.
Thank you to all partners for their valuable contributions and commitment to empowering educators and learners across Europe. Thank you to DARE - Democracy and Human Rights Education in Europe for hosting the event.
