DeCiTeL at the Civil Society Week 2026

At #CivilSocietyWeek2026, DeCiTeL partners joined forces with other CSOs in the field of inclusion, youth, and citizenship education to host a session on “Educating Citizenship for Resilient Societies.”

During the panel discussion, Claudio Dondi from the Education Inspiring Peace Laboratory - EIP Lab emphasised the crucial role of educators and the potential of the Teacher Academy to support them in empowering the next generation of active citizens.

Following this, the EPA - European Parents' Association, OBESSU, and EIP LAB facilitated a dedicated session on DeCiTeL. Together with participants, they examined key challenges in delivering Citizenship Education, such as fragmented policy initiatives, limitations in assessment approaches, and the limited integration of a global perspective within curricula. The insights gathered during the session will contribute to shaping and refining the outputs of the DeCiTeL project.

A sincere thank you to the European Economic and Social Committee for hosting us, to everyone who contributed to organising the session, and to all participants for the rich and thought-provoking exchange!
